Illinois state Rep. Dan Ugaste (R - Geneva) is hosting his annual Outside Kid's Fair from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Chapelstreet Church, in Geneva, Illinois, according to a press release.
“Summer brings some of the best memories for families enjoying the warmer days together,” said Ugaste. “I’m glad to bring back my Outside Kid’s Fair to provide resources for parents and children in the 65th District that are helpful and fun. Bring the family along for touch-a-trucks, shows, and information on important topics.”
Ugaste has represented Illinois' 65th District in the state’s House of Representatives since 2019, according to Ballotpedia. He was elected to his third term in November after winning nearly 55% of the vote against Democratic rival Linda Robertson. His current term expires in January 2025.
Participants in Ugaste's event include the following organizations: Atlas Towing, Birth to Five, CASA Kane County, the city of St. Charles, Commonwealth Edison, DancEncounter School of Dance, Elburn Campton Hills Area CERT, Juice Plus, LifeNet, PACE, Superior Ambulance, Terri Lynn Mate Magic, the Arc of Illinois, Traveling World of Reptiles, the University of Illinois Extension, the Village of South Elgin, and World Martial Arts Academy.
The event will also feature local political organizations and officials, including the Elburn and Countryside Fire Protection District, the Elburn Police Department, Elburn Public Works, Kane County Division of Transportation, the secretary of state, and more.
Demonstrations will begin at 9:30 a.m., according to the release, and will feature touch-a-trucks, refreshments, and a bicycle raffle. A LifeNet medical helicopter will also be at the event from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.
