Treasurers Ballot Question: Shall City Attorney prepare a resolution for the January 2nd meeting entitled “Resolution 23-12” A resolution providing for the submission to the electors of the City of Sandwich, DeKalb and Kendall Counties, Illinois, a referendum of whether the City should abolish the elected position of City Treasurer and the duties of the City Treasurer be assigned to a Finance Director” (or whatever title City intends to give to this individual)?

Old Business: Discussion and possible action to adopt the City of Sandwich Procurement (Purchasing) Policy. Requires a motion to remove from the table. The Finance Committee held a special meeting on December 11th to discuss aspects of the policy

New Business:

a. Approval of December’s bills totaling $1,159,208.16

b. Executive Session under 2(c)(5) for land acquisition and Section 2(c)(2) for collective bargaining; Action may be taken following Executive Session

c. Authorize the Mayor to sign a Real Estate Sale Contract

Announcements: The next Finance Committee Meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024, at 6:30 PM followed by the Regular Meeting at 7:00 PM. The Committee-of-the-Whole meeting will immediately follow the Regular Meeting on January 2nd, 2024
