On Thursday, May 8, former Yorkville High School standout Ellie Alvarez collegiate team loses in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship

On Thursday, May 8, former Yorkville High School standout Ellie Alvarez’s current collegiate team the Tusculum Pioneers lost 1-6 against the North Georgia Nighthawks in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship.

The game took place at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium at 2 p.m. and was the first matchup against the North Georgia Nighthawks in the tournament.

The Tusculum Pioneers’ next game will take place on Friday, May 9 at 2:30 p.m. at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium.
