Kendall County Forest Preserve District Commission met June 17.

Here are the minutes provided by the commission:

I. Call to Order

President DeBolt called the meeting to order at 10:55 am in the Kendall County Historic Courthouse - 3rd floor courtroom.

II. Pledge of Allegiance

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited at the start of the Kendall County Board Meeting.

III. Invocation

An invocation was offered at the start of the Kendall County Board Meeting.

Roll call: Commissioners Flowers, Gengler, Kellogg, Koukol, Peterson, Shanley, Wormley, and DeBolt were all present.

V. Approval of Agenda

Commission Meeting members gave direction to move forward with the Approval of Agenda items.

VI. Public Comment

No public comments were offered from citizens in attendance.

VII. CONSENT AGENDA

A. Approval of Minutes

Kendall County Forest Preserve District Finance Committee Meeting of May 20, 2025 Kendall County Forest Preserve District Commission Meeting of June 3, 2025 Kendall County Forest Preserve District Operations Committee Meeting of June 4, 2025

B. MOTION: Approval of Claims in the Amount of $85,946.56

President DeBolt recited the items posted to the Consent Agenda.

Commissioner Gengler made a motion to approve the Consent Agenda as presented. Seconded by Commissioner Shanley.

X. Committee Chairman Reports: Commissioners Wormley (Finance) and Koukol (Operations)

Commissioner Rodriguez entered the meeting at 10:57 am.

Finance Chair Wormley reported that the next Finance meeting is scheduled for June 26, 2025

Operations Chair Koukol reported that Kendall County Judiciary and Probation will be hosting their Drug Court graduation on August 15, 2025 at Meadowhawk Lodge. Chair Koukol also indicated that Operations Committee will be discussing the replacement of the F150 vehicle.

XI. Public Comments

Acting Director White shared an email received from a member of the public, Cherie Bond, expressing concern regarding an incident at Hoover Forest Preserve when an electric bicycle rider did not give a horse back rider the right of way on a shared trail.

XII. Executive Session

None.

XIII. Other Items of Business

Executive Advisor Guritz provided updates on the Subat Forest Preserve Nature Center and the Fox River Bluffs-Hoover Trail Connection Survey Work estimate.

Executive Guritz reported the District will reapply for the Section 319 EPA Grant.

The following meeting dates will be cancelled: the Kendall County Forest Preserve District Commission meetings of July 2, 2025 and the Kendall County Forest Preserve District Commission meeting of August 5, 2025.

XIV. Adjournment

Commissioner Flowers made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by Commissioner Gengler. Aye, all. Opposed, none. Meeting adjourned at 11:05 am.
