Kendall County Forest Preserve District Commission met Sept. 2.

Here are the minutes provided by the commission:

Call to Order

Vice President Rodriguez called the meeting to order at 6:59 pm in the Kendall County Historic Courthouse - 3rd floor courtroom.

II. Pledge of Allegiance

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited at the start of the Kendall County Board Meeting.

III. Invocation

An invocation was offered at the start of the Kendall County Board Meeting.

Roll call: Commissioners Flowers, Gengler, Kellogg, Koukol, Peterson, Rodriguez, and Wormley, were all present.

V. Approval of Agenda

Commissioner Flowers made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. Seconded by Commissioner Peterson. Aye, all. Opposed, none.

VI. Public Comment

No public comments were offered from citizens in attendance.

VII. CONSENT AGENDA

A. Approval of Minutes

B. MOTION: Approval of Claims in the Amount of $15,757.28

C. MOTION: Approval of an Amended Vacation Policy (KCFPD Handbook Chapter 8 Section 2: Vacation Policy)

MOTION: Approval of Change Order #003 in the Amount of $34,805.16 to be Deducted from the $58,320.52 Total Contingency Available in Contract #23-429-1495 with Lite Construction, Inc. for the Mary M. Subat Nature Center Project which Sum Includes $33,305.16 for Production of 7 Wall-Mounted Interpretive Panels; 4 Column-Wrapped Interpretive Panels; 1 Ceiling-Mounted Interpretive Mural; 2 Floor-Mounted Interpretive Panels with Frames, and 1 Kiosk-Mounted Interpretive Panel, Plus a $1500.00 Shipping Contingency

E. MOTION: Approval of a Vacant Land Sales Contract between the Kendall County Forest Preserve District and John Ledermann of Millbrook, Illinois for the Sale of 0.1605 Surveyed Acres known as Dobson Lane-Tract 2 in the Amount of $5000.00

X. Committee Chairman Reports: Commissioners Wormley (Finance) and Koukol (Operations)

Finance Chair Wormley reported that the next Finance Committee meeting is scheduled for September 25, 2025 at 4:00 pm and that the FY26 Budget process has started and the FY25 Budget Amendment will be expected at the September Finance Committee Meeting.

Operations Chair Koukol reported that the Operations Committee meeting scheduled for September 3, 2025 was cancelled and that two items from the agenda will be discussed at the Committee of the Whole Meeting on September 9, 2025. The next Operations Committee Meeting is scheduled for October 1, 2025.
