Analysis: Oswego pays $2.93 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Oswego Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 74.2 percent of the $1,684,930 the Oswego Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.93 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kendall County Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Oswego contributed $1,250,000 to the fund, which saw a $65,814 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $425,332, or 25.2 percent, in 2016. Another $9,598 came from other unspecified sources.
