Baldwin Central Fire Protection District responded to eight calls in 2017 - 14.3 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Baldwin included seven fires - two structure fires, two vehicle fires and three other fires.

In all, the department saw $3,200 in fire loss - or about $457 per fire.

The department also received one false call.

The Baldwin Central Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $57,945 in 2017.
