Wyoming CFPD responds to 21 fires in 2017

Wyoming Central Fire Protection District responded to 31 calls in 2017 - 138.5 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Wyoming included 21 fires - three structure fires and 18 other fires.

In all, the department saw $300,000 in fire loss - or about $14,286 per fire.

The department also received 10 false calls.

The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related death.

The Wyoming Central Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $155,380 in 2017.
