VILLAGE OF OSWEGO: Volunteers wanted for Oswego Beats & Eats

Volunteers

Village of Oswego issued the following announcement on July 11.

Oswego Beats & Eats returns to Main Street on Saturday, July 28, and Saturday, August 25, with the best live music and food trucks from around Chicagoland, and the Village of Oswego wants volunteers to be a part of the fun!

Oswego Beats & Eats will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. on the last Saturdays of July and August on Main Street from Jefferson to Washington Streets. Volunteers are needed for timeframes of four hours or less to greet visitors, pour beer, check IDs, and attend to the festival’s new VIP patio. Volunteers experience all the live music, great food and fun of Beats & Eats, while also giving back to their community. Partial proceeds from this year’s Oswego Beats & Eats will provide “eats” for the Oswego Senior Center’s lunch program and support music programs at School District 308 schools.

Plus, for their dedication, volunteers will get a Beats & Eats volunteer shirt, a burrito from our generous sponsor Chipotle, tickets for one beer or specialty cocktail, and unlimited bottled water.

Volunteers are encouraged to attend a 45-minute volunteer training session, which happens on Wednesday, July 25, and Thursday, August 2, from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. in the Community Room of Oswego Village Hall. Volunteers must also pass a safety check conducted by the Oswego Police Department and sign a waiver.

Sign up to volunteer at www.oswegobeatsandeats.com/volunteer. You’ll find more information about volunteer opportunities available and can pick your shift.

New this year: Beats & Eats VIP Patio

Get an exclusive upfront seat on the VIP patio adjacent to the front of the stage, plus a VIP lanyard and wristband, and a 20-oz. souvenir glow mug. Beat the lines with access to the beer tent’s VIP counter, and as an additional bonus, VIPs will get to purchase drinks in their 20-oz. mug for the same price as a 16-oz. pour.

A limited quantity of VIP Patio tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. on Monday, July 16, at www.oswegobeatsandeats.com.
