Report: Plano spent $10,425 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Plano Community Unit School District 88 is up 14 percent from five years ago, according to a Kendall County Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Kendall County school district spent $9,141 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,425 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 2398 to 2385.

Plano's spending in 2017-18 was 21.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
