Bristol home prices fall in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Bristol fell by $98,000 while total sales increased by 20%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $185,000 - a 34.6% decrease over the $283,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were five homes sold in Bristol in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Bristol for 2017 was $5,404.40. In 2016, the median sales tax was $5,240.50. This marks an increase of 3.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.9%.
