Aurora (Kendall County) home prices fall in the first half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2017 in Aurora in Kendall County fell by $14,750 while total sales increased by 40%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2017, there were 70 homes sold, with a median sale price of $215,500 - a 6.4% decrease over the $230,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 50 homes sold in Aurora in the first half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Aurora for 2017 was $8,184. In 2016, the median sales tax was $7,891. This marks an increase of 3.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.8%.
