Oswego home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Oswego rose by $11,000 while total sales increased by 1.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 863 homes sold, with a median sale price of $230,000 - a 5% increase over the $219,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 847 homes sold in Oswego in 2016.

The median sales tax in Oswego for 2017 was $7,074. In 2016, the median sales tax was $6,839. This marks an increase of 3.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.1%.
