Aurora (Kendall County) home prices fall in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Aurora in Kendall County fell by $14,750 while total sales increased by 19.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 134 homes sold, with a median sale price of $215,500 - a 6.4% decrease over the $230,250 median sale price for the previous year. There were 112 homes sold in Aurora in 2016.

The median sales tax in Aurora for 2017 was $8,184. In 2016, the median sales tax was $7,891. This marks an increase of 3.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.8%.
