Q3 2020 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Kendall County?

There were 16 offenders released on parole during the third quarter of 2020 that live in Kendall County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Kendall County Times.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Kendall County were men. The median age of the parolees was 37. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2020, and the oldest was a 56-year-old man sentenced for homicide in 2012.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Bruce Tripp. He was convicted of homicide in 1993 when he was 22 years old. He is now 50.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter of 2020 in each Kendall County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
