Illinois needs to provide a Gas Tax Holiday and forgo its slated July increase. Since the closing of the Keystone Pipeline, and the moratorium on the domestic oil productions in conjunction with the war in Ukraine the increases to fuel prices are financially un-sustainable for Illinois Residents.
If the Governor would cut the tax down, or provide a tax holiday on gas sales the every day people of Illinois will be able to afford going to work. If gas prices rise to the projected $6.00 per gallon by July I wouldn't be surprised to see loan officers at gas stations for people to get fuel.
McCullagh is a candidate for state representative of the 9th District.
