Schools historically collect demographic data on your kids such as age and sex. No big deal, right? Well, they're now digging deeper. Public Act 102-0543 expands this data to include gender identity and sexual orientation. I can't help but wonder, do you want schools asking your daughter or son these questions?
Fortunately, they're delaying the ask about gender identity and sexual orientation until the 2023 / 2024 school year - not from some moral convictions - but only from concerns over privacy issues (aka, potential lawsuits).
We must connect the dots regarding this topic. Asking students about gender identity and sexual orientation, discussing and teaching gender identity and sexual orientation to 8 and 9 year olds (third graders), and stocking libraries with books involving gender identity and sexual orientation.
Anyone else see an emerging trend? Simply put, your family is under attack compliments of Springfield.
While voting no in Springfield is critically important, it's not enough. We need elected officials who will rally communities and remind schools they're not reflecting local values. We absolutely need local pressure, more so than Springfield pressure.
Please hear me. I promise local pressure as your state representative. Tired of waiting on Springfield for change? Well, elect me and together let's push true change which is local change. You see, we don't need Springfield's permission, all we need is yours!
