According to CBS News Chicago, authorities have identified the victims as 49-year-old Chad Dockery, of Hinsdale, and his 48-year-old ex-wife Amanda Dockery. Police say Dockery phoned police to tell them he had killed his wife before turning the gun on himself while sitting in his vehicle in the driveway as officers arrived.
Authorities reported Amanda Dockery suffered two gunshot wounds, and that both victims were rushed to Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Geneva, where Amanda was pronounced dead at 6:06 p.m., and Chad was pronounced dead at 7:30 p.m.. Police later recovered a 9 mm handgun at the scene of the shooting.
