Jadon A. Waller, director of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) at Oswego Community School District 308, is facing calls for termination after a social media post criticizing Black Americans who expressed sympathy following the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.
In a post on Facebook, Waller, reportedly using the name "Ashley Jadon," allegedly wrote:
“I’m seeing a lot of Black folks on here interjecting themselves into the death of a modern day Klans man... and I have to say I’m confused and disappointed. Who are you trying to make comfortable? Cause it’s making me uncomfortable.”

The post drew backlash from conservative groups and online commentators, including the Facebook page Liberals for the Unemployment Line 2026, which reposted the comment alongside a photo of Waller and others dressed in Black Panther-inspired attire.
“She called Charlie Kirk a modern day klansman and said she was uncomfortable with black people ‘injecting themselves’ in his death. Ashley, there really is such thing as a black conservative and we accept them as you should especially with your job title. District 308 has been contacted and hopefully Monday morning YOU’RE FIRED!!!!!!” the group posted on Facebook.
Kirk, 31, co-founder of Turning Point USA and a prominent conservative political figure, was shot and killed Sept. 10 during a speaking event in Utah.
His death has led to disciplinary actions for individuals in various sectors accused of making insensitive or celebratory online comments. Those include a Secret Service agent placed on leave, airline pilots suspended, and several university professors and public employees who have been terminated or are under investigation.
The Florida Education Commissioner announced a statewide review of educators’ online activity. President Trump ordered flags flown at half-staff in Kirk’s honor.
District 308 has not released a statement regarding Waller’s employment status.
Kirk, a native of Arlington Heights, Illinois, began his political activism as a teenager and launched Turning Point USA from a garage in Lemont. The organization grew into a major conservative force with thousands of student chapters and a reported $92 million budget.
Known as a close advisor to Trump, Kirk played a key role in youth outreach and political appointments during Trump’s presidency.
