Kendall County Education: 44 American Indian students enrolled in school districts in 2023-24 school year

There were 44 American Indian students enrolled in Kendall County school districts in the 2023-24 school year, 15.8% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Data showed that American Indian students made up 0.2% of the 26,658 students in the county. They were the least represented ethnicity.

Among the six districts in Kendall County, Oswego Community Unit School District 308 recorded the highest enrollment of American Indian students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of 44 students.
