Ted Dabrowski, a candidate for governor in Illinois, has announced his commitment to prioritizing middle-income families, improving literacy in Yorkville Community Unit School District 115 (CUSD 115), and focusing state policy on the needs of citizens. This announcement was made during a town hall meeting held in Yorkville.
"I am running for governor for the middle-income family in Yorkville who's getting fleeced by the highest property taxes in the nation," said Dabrowski, Gubernatorial candidate. "I am running to restore literacy in schools because only a third of students in Yorkville CUSD 115 can read at grade level. And I am running so that the government will prioritize Illinois citizens first, not criminals and illegal immigrants."
The event took place on October 21, 2025, and was hosted by Representative Jed Davis. Davis, a Republican who has represented Illinois' 75th District since January 2023, regularly engages with constituents on issues such as education and taxation. These town halls provide residents with an opportunity to interact directly with their state representative and invited guests to discuss local priorities that influence the legislative agenda in Springfield.
Dabrowski brings over thirty years of experience in international finance and domestic policy leadership. He previously held senior financial roles, including Head of Corporate Banking at Citibank in Poland, where he advised the government on economic liberalization efforts and managed significant Treasury portfolios in Poland and Mexico. Upon returning to the United States, Dabrowski served as Vice President of Policy at the Illinois Policy Institute and later became President of Wirepoints, a nonprofit organization focused on Illinois' economy and government. His research has been recognized by national publications such as The Wall Street Journal. Dabrowski holds a master's degree in public policy from the University of Chicago, an MBA in finance from the Wharton School, and a bachelor's degree from Georgia Tech.
