Sugar Grove Park District Board met  Oct. 9.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

1. Meeting was called to order by Commissioner Carmody at 6:02pm.

Roll call was taken:

President Sean Carmody Present

Commissioner Steven Becker Absent

Commissioner Perry Clark Absent

Commissioner Dawn Eby Present

Commissioner Chris Walker Present

Executive Director Greg Repede Absent

Staff in attendance:

Karen Pritchard, Superintendent of Recreation

Eric Smith, Marketing and Communications Manager

Ginny Pavesich, Recording Secretary

2. Public to Address the Board

None

3. Approval of Minutes

Commissioner Eby made a motion to approve the minutes of the September 11, 2017 meeting. Commissioner Walker seconded and the motion passed unanimously.

4. Approval of Treasurer’s Report

Commissioner Eby made a motion to approve the September 2017 Treasurer’s Report and Disbursements totaling $49,898.44. Commissioner Walker seconded and roll call vote was taken:

Commissioner Clark Absent

Commissioner Eby Aye

Commissioner Walker Aye

Motion passed 3-0

5. New Business

A. 2018 Budget, Levy Schedule

Superintendent Pritchard presented the 2018 Budget Review, Tax Levy Ordinance 17-02, and the Budget & Appropriation Ordinance 17-03.

Commissioner Eby made a motion that Tax Levy Ordinance 17-02 be made available for public review and to set the Truth in Taxation public hearing for November 13, 2017 at 6pm. Commissioner Walker seconded the motion. Roll call vote was taken:

Commissioner Becker Absent

Commissioner Clark Absent

Commissioner Eby Aye

Commissioner Walker Aye

Motion passed 3-0

Commissioner Eby made a motion that Budget & Appropriation Ordinance 17-03 be made available for public inspection and to set the public hearing for December 11, 2017 at 6pm. Commissioner Walker seconded the motion.

Motion passed 3-0

6. Meeting Adjournment

Commissioner Walker made a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Eby seconded and the motion passed. Commissioner Carmody adjourned the meeting at 6:37pm.
