Oswego Community Unit School District 308 issued the following announcement on June 11.
Oswego Community Unit School District 308 Board of Education has approved Kenneth L. Miller, MPA, PHR, as the new Executive Director of Human Resources, Benefits and Payroll, effective July 1, 2018. The position was previously held by Roxana Sanders, who has resigned from School District 308.
Currently, Miller serves as SD 308’s Assistant Director of Human Resources where he has been responsible for functions including: Candidate screening/selection, insurance benefits, mandatory employee training, retirement systems (IMRF/TRS), substitute employees, unemployment claims, budget projections and workers’ compensation. Prior to working at SD 308, Miller was the Senior H.R. Specialist/Principal Consultant for the Illinois State Board of Education.
“Ken Miller has done outstanding work with our district as the Assistant Director of Human Resources,” said Dr. John Sparlin, superintendent of schools. “I am confident that his transition to Executive Director of Human Resources will be efficient based on his professional experience and knowledge of our district.” Miller has a Bachelor of Science, Management: Human Resources from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois and a Master of Public Administration, Public Management & Leadership from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois.
