Oswego Community Unit School District 308 issued the following announcement on July 16.
During the July 16 meeting, the Oswego Community Unit School District 308 Board of Education approved Eric S. Simon as the New Assistant Director of Operations, replacing Robert Allison who was named Director of Operations on July 1, 2018.
Simon started with SD308 in 2006 working in the grounds department, moving to the role of building engineer in March 2007. In his role as building engineer, Simon was responsible for all aspects of the daily operations at Oswego High School. Simon oversaw 23 employees in his department, and the smooth operation of many systems and processes to ensure the safety and security of approximately 3,000 people who attend classes or work in the building.
“Eric has done excellent work as a Building Engineer,” said Rob Allison, director of operations. “He is a hard working, loyal and knowledgeable leader, he will do great in this new role."
Simon has a B.A. in Marketing from North Central College, Naperville, Illinois.
