Oswego Community Unit School District 308 issued the following announcement on July 17.
Oswego Community Unit School District 308 Board of Education approved Brian M. Tworek as the Assistant Principal of Old Post Elementary School for the 2018/19 school year, at it’s July 16 meeting. Mr. Tworek is replacing Samantha Sinovich, who accepted the role of Principal at Southbury Elementary School.
Tworek started teaching in 2004 as a 5th grade teacher at Krug Elementary School in Aurora, Illinois. From 2007-2018, he has been a 4th grade teacher at Grande Reserve Elementary School in Yorkville, Illinois. Tworek looks to employ his leadership skills and qualities to support both the principal and district’s vision and ensure a successful learning experience for all students.
“Brian is a multi-faceted teacher and educator who utilizes best practices in leading. He is a strong communicator who works collaboratively with students, staff, and parents,” said Dr. Lindsay Allen, Director of Elementary Education.
Tworek has an Associates in Arts from the College of Lake County, Grayslake, Illinois; B.S. in Education, Social Science/Language Arts Endorsement, from Western Illinois University, Macomb, Illinois; and a Masters of Science in Education, Educational Leadership, from the University of St. Francis, Wheaton, Illinois.
