Oswego Community Unit School District 308 issued the following announcement on Sept. 19.
Swimming World Magazine creates a Virtual Swim Meet using the final results from state championship meets in all 50 states and classes. Based on the meet times of swimmers, the magazine creates a "Mythical National Championship Team Standings" awarding points to the top 16 fastest performances.
The results have Oswego's Co-Op Swim Team ranked as #6 in the nation for public schools and in combined public and private school, ranked #8! Individually Grace Cooper placed #5 in the 50 yard freestyle and the relay team of Grace Cooper, Georgia White, Emily Giles, and Mari Kraus, were ranked #5 in the 200 and 400 free relays. The team is led by Coach Deryl Leubner. Congratulations on an outstanding season!
