Newark home prices fall in the first half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2018 in Newark fell by $8,750 while total sales decreased by 18.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2018, there were 13 homes sold, with a median sale price of $175,000 - a 4.8% decrease over the $183,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 16 homes sold in Newark in the first half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Newark for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $5,305, approximately 3% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2018.
