OSWEGO COMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT 308: New Student Information System & Schedule Distribution

Info

Oswego Community Unit School District 308 issued the following announcement on July 26.

We are excited to introduce our new Student Information System, Tyler Technologies. The Tyler Parent Portal will replace the Home Access system. The roll out of the new system will be incremental, with the initial portion going live on July 30. While the system can do many things, at first you will only see your student(s) demographic information and parent/guardian contact information when you log on.

On July 30, you will receive an email generated by the Tyler system which will include your unique information necessary to access your student(s) record. If your email address has changed in the last two months and you have not notified your school(s), please do so as soon as possible, to be sure you receive this important information. An email address is required to access the Parent Portal. We request that parent log-in information be utilized by parents/guardians only, information for how students may access the portal will be shared later next month.

Please review your contact information within the Parent Portal. You may update cell phone numbers and email addresses directly in the portal. Note, the email address is how you access the portal so please do not delete it.

On August 5, student schedules for elementary and junior high (PreK-8th grade) students will be emailed to the primary contact listed in your student’s record. High School schedules will need to be picked up in person at the high school buildings at the times designated below. For any questions regarding schedules, please contact the school directly on or after August 8. Prior to August 8 there will not be personnel assigned at the school building to field these calls and adequately respond. If you wish to pick up your elementary or junior high school student’s schedule in person, please do so as directed below.

For any issues related to logging into the Tyler Parent Portal, or if you do not receive the emailed schedule on August 5, please email TylerHelp@sd308.org, including your contact information and the issue you are experiencing. A team of individuals will be fielding the concerns and addressing them as quickly as possible. Calls should not be placed to the schools or district regarding issues with the portal log-in or a schedule not received, please use the email listed above.

Thank you for your continued patience as we onboard this new system, we are certain that you will find the system to be a helpful resource, with expanded capabilities.
