Yorkville Area Chamber Of Commerce issued the following announcement on Dec. 7.
Christmas tree ornaments depicting Yorkville’s historic Kendall County Courthouse and engraved with the words “Yorkville My Home Town” are being sold for $15 each or two for $25 by the Yorkville Historic Preservation Society (YHPS).
The ornaments, which are being created by new Yorkville Chamber member Ed Arnold of Ed’s Laser Engraving of Oswego, are handcrafted 3¼ inch round disks of cherry wood etched with an image of the Courthouse and embellished with ribbon. They will be available at the YMCA craft fair on Dec. 8, and at local businesses around town, including at Old Second National Bank, Yorkville Ace Hardware & Radio Shack, GRACE Coffee and Wine, First National Bank, American Tire and Automotive, or by calling 630-882-8884.
