4. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS NOTE: There is a new temporary procedure for public speaking. Details can be found on the Joliet.gov “Meeting Agendas, Minutes, & Videos” web page. In-person public speaking is temporarily suspended. This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding items listed on the agenda, except for items listed under Public Hearing. Anyone speaking on an agenda item is entitled to speak for a maximum of 4 minutes. It is not a question and answer period and staff and the Plan Commission do not generally respond to public comments. Mr. Jackson stated the applicant is requesting that the petitions be tabled until the August 20, 2020 Plan Commission meeting.

Mr. Jackson gave the Planning Staff Report.
Ms. Kathleen Burmeister appeared on behalf of the petition.
Commissioner Cox inquired about the water run-off and Mr. Jackson responded.
Mr. Kerry Deufel, 1602 Brighton, asked if there will be any consideration to put a traffic light at the location since there are 2 schools there. Mr. Jackson responded he did not think there were any plans for a traffic signal there. Mr. Jackson said he will have Engineering contact Mr. Deufel regarding his suggestion.
Motion to Approve the Reclassification of 4998 Theodore Street from R-1 (Single-Family Residential) to B-3 (General Business) Zoning was made by Jim Capparelli.
