City of Plano City Council met June 29.

The special meeting of the Plano City Council was called to order on Monday, June 29, 2020 by Mayor Robert A. Hausler. The Mayor led the pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Roll Call:

Steve De Bolt Present                 John Fawver Present 

Ben Eaton Absent                       Jamal Williams Present 

Tommy Johns Present                 Barb Nadeau Present 

Scott Mulliner Present                 Mike Rennels Absent 

There was a quorum. 

AGENDA:

A motion was made by Alderman Williams, seconded by Alderman Mulliner, to approve the agenda for the regular meeting of June 29, 2020 as corrected. The correction is that the approval for the signs under Parks should be sandblasted not sandblasting. A unanimous "Aye" voice vote was heard. The motion passed.

INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS:

Guests and members of the press were welcomed by Mayor Hausler.

MAYOR'S REPORT: Bob Hausler - No report

The Mayor thanked all who came to this meeting. He explained we are looking into putting up dividers so we can hold our meeting back at City Hall. 

CITY ATTORNEY: Tom Grant

The authorizing release of escrow funds held by Wheatland - No action at this time. Ordinance 2020-10 Various stop intersections

A motion was made by Alderman Johns, seconded by Alderman DeBolt, to approve an Ordinance designating various intersections as stop intersections within the Corporate limits of the City of Plano, Kendall County. Roll Call:

Voting "Aye": Fawver, Johns, Mulliner, Nadeau, Williams, DeBolt 

Voting “Nay”:

Absent: Eaton, Rennels 

Motion passed. 

Resolution R#2020-16 Little Rock Jewelers, Studio 3D, LLC resolution of support

A motion was made by Alderman Williams, seconded by Alderman Mulliner, to approve a resolution in support of Little Rock Jewelers, Studio 3D. LLC for the State of Illinois Community Development Block Grant Program. Roll Call:

Voting "Aye": Fawver, Johns, Mulliner, Nadeau, Williams, DeBolt 

Voting “Nay:

Absent: Eaton, Rennels 

Motion passed. 

Resolution R#2020-17 Hometown Lanes Inc. resolution of support

A motion was made by Alderman Williams, seconded by Alderman Fawver, to approve a resolution in support of Hometown Lanes Inc. for the State of Illinois Community Development Block Grant Program. Roll Call:

Voting "Aye": Fawver, Johns, Mulliner, Nadeau, Williams, DeBolt 

Voting “Nay:

Absent: Eaton, Rennels 

Motion passed. 

Resolution R#2020-18 Committing local funds

A motion was made by Alderman Mulliner, seconded by Alderman Johns, to approve a resolution to take action to submit a Rebuild illinois competitive public infrastructure application. Roll Call:

Voting "Aye": Fawver, Johns, Mulliner, Nadeau, Williams, DeBolt 

Voting “Nay”:

Absent: Eaton, Rennels 

Motion passed. 

PARKS: Alderman Johns

A motion was made by Alderman Johns, seconded by Alderman Williams, to approve sandblasted parks signs by Signarama in the amount of $ 1,702.40. There are 2 signs, one at Kristen Park and one at Harry Neubert Park. Roll Call:

Voting "Aye": Fawver, Johns, Mulliner, Nadeau, Williams, DeBolt 

Voting “Nay”:

Absent: Eaton, Rennels 

Motion passed. 

BUILDINGS, GROUNDS AND ZONING: Alderman DeBolt

A motion was made by Alderman DeBolt, seconded by Alderman Nadeau, to app services for City Buildings in an amount not to exceed $ 800.00 per month. Roll Call:

Voting "Aye": Fawver, Johns, Mulliner, Nadeau, Williams, DeBolt 

Voting “Nay”:

Absent: Eaton, Rennels 

Motion passed. 

CITIZEN'S COMMENTS: None 

ADJOURNMENT:

A motion was made by Alderman DeBolt, seconded by Alderman Williams, to adjourn. A unanimous "Aye" voice vote was heard. The motion passed. The meeting adjourned at 6:27 p.m.
