Aux Sable Middle School issued the following announcement on Sept. 4.
The 69th annual Plainfield Community Homecoming Parade and all related activities are cancelled because of health and safety concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The parade was scheduled for October 3, 2020.
The parade usually features more than 100 entries including floats, students, staff, and family representing most of the district’s 30 schools. It typically draws upwards of 10,000 people to downtown Plainfield.
