Bristol Kendall Fire Protection District responded to 371 calls in 2018 - 14.5 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Bristol Kendall included 103 fires - 48 structure fires, 12 vehicle fires and 43 other fires. The fire department also responded to two calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $375,970 in fire loss - or about $3,650 per fire.

The department also received 266 false calls, including four malicious calls and 262 other false calls.

The calls resulted in two civilian fire-related injuries. Additionally, one fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents and three were injured in non fire-related incidents.
