Aux Sable Middle School issued the following announcement on Aug. 4
Today, Governor Pritzker announced an Executive Order requiring that masks be worn inside school buildings by teachers, staff, students, and visitors of Pre-K-12 schools, regardless of vaccination status. This Order supports safe in-person learning.
District 202 will comply with the governor's Executive Order to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all students, staff, families, and the community.
This is especially important now as the number of people getting the Covid-19 Delta variant continues to rise.
We have worked very hard to get our students back into classrooms where they belong and need to be.
From the date of our opening announcement on the evening of July 19, 2021, the covid related metrics as related to communities and schools have changed. As we have said before, we will adjust our opening plan, as needed or required.
We will share more detailed information and plans next week so that families can prepare for the first day of school on August 18th.
