District 202 high schools’ fall plays set to take center stage

Aux Sable Middle School recently issued the following announcement.

District 202’s four high school auditoriums will come alive in November as students take the stage for fall plays.

***Masks must be worn inside the schools at all times per Gov. Pritzker’s Executive Order/Mandate.

Here is this year’s lineup:

Plainfield High School - Central Campus will present “Little Women” at:

  • 7:30 Friday, November 12 and Saturday, November 13, 2021
  • 2 p.m., Saturday, November 13 and Sunday, November 14, 2021.
“Little Women” revolves around the lives of four sisters and their transition from childhood to womanhood, as they face the challenges of life during the Civil War.

Together, they navigate the day to day with celebrations and heartaches. They learn patience, understanding, consequences and that love conquers all.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Contact PHSCC at (815) 436-3200. PHSCC is at 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive, Plainfield.

Plainfield South High School will present “The Importance of Being Earnest,” at:

  • 7 p.m. Friday, November 19 and Saturday, November 20, 2021
  • 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2021.
This renowned Oscar Wilde comedy is the story of two bachelors, John “Jack” Worthing and Algernon “Algy” Moncrieff, who create alter egos named Ernest to win the hearts of two women.

The pair struggles to keep up with their own stories and become tangled in a tale of deception, disguise, and misadventure.

Tickets are available at the door for $7 for adults, $5 for students, seniors and veterans or active military.

PSHS is at 7800 W. Caton Farm Road, Plainfield.

Plainfield North High School presents “Salvation Road,” at:

  • 7:30 p.m. Thursday, November 18, Friday, November 19 and Saturday, November 20, 2021.
In this show, independent thinker Denise Kozak goes to college then stops contacting her family. Months pass without a word from Denise while her brother Cliff and younger sister Jill struggle to hold the family together.

A friend’s chance encounter with Denise propels Cliff and Jill onto a road trip into the heart of a deepening mystery.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students, children, and seniors. Tickets can be bought by calling (815) 609-8506 or online at www.pnhs.psd202.org 

PNHS is at 12005 S. 248th Ave., Plainfield.

Plainfield East High School will present “Puffs, One Act for Young Wizards,” at:

  • 7 p.m. Thursday, November 18, Friday, November 19 and Saturday, November 20, 2021
  • 2 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2021.
This play is about the underdogs at a certain school of magic and witchcraft. In "Puffs," the teenagers face new challenges like learning magic, young love, and dark wizards.

Tickets are $7 adults, $5 for staff and students, seniors, and children younger than 5. Tickets will be available in the PEHS Student Services office from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. weekdays or at the door.

PEHS is at 12001 S. Naperville Road, Plainfield.
