Report: Plano School District spent $12,041 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Plano Community Unit School District 88 was up 24.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Kendall County Times analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Kendall County school district spent $9,655 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,041 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 2,387 to 2,345 students over the same period.

Plano's spending in 2019-20 was 16.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
