The SD 308 School Board is searching for a board member to fill the vacancy for Donna Marino. Interested residents should complete the application by March 16th, 2022 by 5:00pm. The SD308 BOE will review the applications and may identify applicants to interview for the position. The SD308 BOE intends to fill the vacancy within 60 calendar days.
To qualify for school board membership, one must have the following qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age
- A United States citizen
- A resident of the state of Illinois and of the district since at least January 1st, 2021
- A registered voter
- Be a resident of incorporated Wheatland Township
- Not have been previously removed from a school board
- Not be a school trustee
- Not be convicted of an infamous crime or felony
- Not be a child sex offender
- Not have a prohibited interest in any District contract
- Not hold an incompatible public office
