The Congressional App Challenge (CAC) is a nationwide app challenge sponsored by Members of the U.S. House of Representative. Each district holds a competition for middle school and high school students from their area. The CAC encourages students to learn to code and inspires them to pursue careers in computer science. “We are extremely proud of these students’ accomplishments, achievements, and creativity,” said Dr. John Sparlin, superintendent of schools. “Their work on this app could be a huge help to area animal shelters.”
For having been chosen as the winners from the 14th Congressional District, they have earned a trip to Washington DC to showcase their app to congress as well as have their app be displayed in the U.S. Capitol along with other winners from across the country.
