Q3 2022 Recap: 3 parolees from Kendall County convicted of crimes involving weapons set for release

There were three offenders convicted of crimes involving weapons living in Kendall County released on parole during the third quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Kendall County Times.

The data shows all of the released offenders among the parolees were men. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes involving weapons was 28. The youngest parolee was a 26-year-old man sentenced in 2022, and the oldest was a 43-year-old man sentenced in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Andrew R. Longhi. He was convicted in 2018 when he was 38 years old. He is now 43.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
