There were 2,543 Black students enrolled in Kendall County school districts in the 2022-23 school year, 6.5% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Data showed that Black students made up 9.6% of the 26,573 students in the county. They were the third most represented ethnicity at the time.

Among the six districts in Kendall County, Oswego Community Unit School District 308 recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 1,773 students.
