Report: Plano spent $10,268 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Plano Community Unit School District 88 is up 14 percent from five years ago, according to a Kendall County Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Kendall County school district spent $8,981 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,268 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 2393 to 2428.

Plano's spending in 2016-17 was 21 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
