Oswego Fire Protection District responded to 585 calls in 2017 - 7.5 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.
The calls in Oswego included 120 fires - 65 structure fires, 17 vehicle fires and 38 other fires. The fire department also responded to seven calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $2,331,720 in fire loss - or about $19,431 per fire.
The department also received 458 false calls, including three malicious calls and 455 other false calls.
The calls resulted in five civilian fire-related injuries. Additionally, one fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents.
