Report: Oswego spent $11,888 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Oswego Community Unit School District 308 is up 35.4 percent from five years ago, according to a Kendall County Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Kendall County school district spent $8,782 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,888 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 17222 to 18096.

Oswego's spending in 2017-18 was 10.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
