The data shows that both of the released offenders in Oswego were men. The younger parolee is a 25-year-old man sentenced for crimes against a person in 2015, and the other is a 32-year-old man sentenced for crimes involving alcohol in 2017.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest is Chris Evans. He was convicted of crimes against a person in 2015 when he was 21 years old. He is now 25.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
