Oswego High School Senior, Ismael Corral, has been “Matched” to attend Northwestern University with the QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship, where he will be majoring in fine arts. QuestBridge is a non-profit organization that helps identify students who otherwise may not apply to leading, top-ranked colleges, and partners with 45 of the country’s top-ranked colleges. The application process focuses on the achievements and academic success of students who face economic challenges and helps guide applicants through the college admission process. The colleges partnering with QuestBridge are the ones making the ultimate decisions on which students to admit as well as providing the scholarships to the students.
The colleges use a combination of their funds and state and federal aid to fund the scholarship. The Match Scholarship is offered as part of a generous financial aid package provided by the college and covers the cost of attendance, including: tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, and travel expenses.
“This year, 1,674 Finalists were selected as Match Scholarship Recipients, with 58 students being matched to attend Northwestern University,” QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship. Congratulations to Ismael for having been “Matched” as one of these 58 students!
